Reasons Why You Should Consider Deleting YouTube

Deleting YouTube is like saying no to the annoying distraction in your life that is keeping you from achieving your goals or building that habit that you always wanted. It can have tremendous benefits that can have amazing benefits that can make you live a richer life and experience it at a much deeper level.

Wondering about how to delete a YouTube channel? It’s simple. If you want to delete your YouTube channel- if you have one, all you need to do is go to the accounts settings menu and hide the channel or delete the content. What you need to know is that once you do this, everything is gone forever.

With that in mind, let’s look at the top reasons that you should delete YouTube.

1. Reduce screen time

The best way you can invest in yourself and multiply yourself is through reducing procrastination and the guilt that comes with it. The hugest enemy that we might have right now is the proliferation that technology is having on our brains. It might be true that we don’t have the same 24 hours, but it doesn’t mean the way you feel like.

Deleting YouTube might free up the time that you have to watch another human life. We tend to take for granted what we already have in our lives, and YouTube is programming you in believing that it’s okay to be mindless.

Once you make a decision that you are going to cut YouTube, you will see a better outlook on your productivity and have a deeper life in this world.

2. Unwanted ads

Let’s face it. It may be that you are searching for motivation, your favorite music, or even for “just something” but once you click on it a stupid ad pops up. What’s more boring is that you watch an ad that you do not want and a video that you did not want in the first place. This is just a waste of your time that should be spent doing something useful and productive.

3. Dopamine rushes

Dopamine is meant to give you joy, engagement, and richness whenever you are doing something that enriches you. This means that it can work for you or against you. Spending loads of your time on YouTube makes you feel like you are obliged to watch even when you don’t feel like or don’t want to. Because of enough repetition, instant gratification has been nailed in your brain. But what you don’t realize is that this satisfaction doesn’t serve you in the long term.

4. The YouTube Algorithm

Unless YouTube is your job, you should not be spending all of your time and energy on it. However, it almost feels like YouTube is playing games with us, and it can always read our minds. But it’s not because it can read your mind, it’s because the algorithm is programmed to keep you clicking and clicking. Before you realize it, an hour or 30 minutes are gone that you will never see again. That hour could have been used in exercising, spending time with your family and friends, sleeping earlier, meditating, starting a business, or reading a book.

5. Push you away from reality

The reason YouTube is so compelling is that it makes us feel that we have accomplished something. Rather than going out there and working on completing an actual project, you can chill out on your favorite channel and have an awesome time binge-eating. It’s a great way to make you feel great at the moment.

The cost is paid later on when you have to rush doing something when you had all the time. This habit becomes installed in you later on in life because it becomes normal and automatic to chill and wait till the last minute arrives.
